So, what causes wrinkles?
1. Age
Age is one of the primary factors that contribute to the formation of wrinkles. As we grow older, our skin naturally becomes less elastic and more prone to developing wrinkles. This is primarily due to a decrease in the production of collagen and elastin, proteins that provide structural support to the skin. Additionally, the skin’s ability to retain moisture decreases with age, leading to dryness and a greater likelihood of wrinkles.
2. Sun Exposure
Excessive sun exposure is another significant contributor to the development of wrinkles.
